Africa

Africa Sports Betting Operator

Betway

Betway is the biggest player in Africa bar none.

Built on its core South African operation, it is set to be a pan-African operator with licensed operations across the continent.

It is on track to record $180m in net gaming revenue from Africa this year. It has built its own platform specifically tailored for the continent from its 200-employee base in South Africa.

With African GGR expected to balloon from $1bn in 2020 to $2.2bn in 2025, Betway is uniquely positioned to take advantage of this growth. It has partnered cleverly with local sports leagues and in 2021 it signed with SA Rugby. It is the first time the governing body of South African rugby has partnered with a betting operator. But Betway is used to doing firsts. Expect that to continue as it grows throughout the continent.
